Updated Events list, Successful First Social Sail, and Racing Opportunity

Hi everybody!

This past weekend we had our first social sail of 2026 and it was a smashing success. The wind was a little lackluster to start off with, but once it picked up the conditions were perfect. We had 12 sailors attend the session and by the looks of it everyone enjoyed themselves. The company that supplies Australia with the kind of boats we sail was even there and took some footage of us. I've also uploaded photos from the social sail which are available under the gallery tab.

In terms of some more administrivia, the events list has been updated with all of our social sails for the rest of the semester. We have a option to publish another one later in May if numbers are still good, but we will let you know if that happens.

Lastly, there is an upcoming racing opportunity. The Port Phillip Sea Pilots Race is coming up soon and is a great chance to get involved in a more competitive sailing environment. The race typically runs from the city down the bay toward the heads, offering a longer course than most club racing and a good mix of conditions. It is a well known event on the Port Phillip calendar and attracts a wide range of boats and experience levels. We are currently gauging interest from members who would like to participate. This kind of racing whilst more casual requires past experience due to its overnight nature. Please get in touch with us through the Instagram or email if you're interested.
